Excuse me. I meant "A Wah-Flahr"... if you've got the southern accent.

They used to be so popular in the Carolina's and Georgia, but I think that the mass-produced MC scow has pretty much taken their place in the pecking order. There once was a nice fleet of them in Birmingham but it had pretty much already died out by the time I was sailing Windmills 30 years ago. That particular boat looks to be in really good shape and would most definately make a nice WOOD regatta participant.

Tell me about the WOOD regatta, please. I keep hearing rumors about it being held in either Savannah or Charleston, in 2010 but I can't anything via Google.
What's the straight scoop?

I believe that Carl said that they were now looking at Davis Island YC in Tampa and Savannah and I think that he said next spring. I am still looking for a Penguin.

Last I heard, Carl Cramer of WB is the man to ask about it. The details haven't been worked out yet afaik.
(I see Mick got in there with more info. Mick, do you mean the MC scow (singlehanded ) or C scow (two man)? Just wondering.
