I can't read a word of Swedish, but the photos are a feast. I found this set of pages by accident a few days ago of a 22 square meter getting a new deck. The boat is S-109 Corona, which I understand was built in 1929. The gent's name is Jonas Claudelin and he deserves some attaboys for the job he and his wife have done. In a reply to my email, he says that they haven't been able to sail her yet since the restoration, and have some deck hardware to install and rig to work on. (His English is very good.)

The 'sjosattning' link leads to photos of the launch. No word on the fate of the two sea gulls! I think it's a better job than I did on Sonja.

Thanks for the contact. The pictures were great to look at but I get tired just imagining all of the work.

Interesting set of launching ways. I can't figure out the benefit of the sideways method shown, though... and doesn't she look like she's taking on water fast!

Great stuff!!!! I especially liked the man hitting the side of the boat with the sledge hammer.

Yeah, Thad, I hope that shot was labeled "Don't try this at home!"

I don't understand Swedish, either, but I know first class boat porn when I see it. <drool> Good boat porn knows no language!

Some of the "before" shots are much worse than anything I've found on my Comet. Seeing what beautiful results they got gives me confidence.

Gotta get back to work.
