Anyone know of a site that I can get brushes for a chopsaw? I think it is a ContractorSaw that I had picked up from Lowe's years ago?

Pull one brush , go to a local Ace (or similar) hardware store , they generally have a brush selection. Hopefully one will fit.
If your in a remote location , look for a manf. name , serial number , model number, etc. , on the tool and google what ever you find , maybe it will lead you to a tool parts outfit.
You'll need more than " contractor saw" for a good search chance.
Like this site, we ordered some parts for a Makita chop-saw recently with good results.

Good luck.

McMaster-Carr

Page 935 of their current catalog. At their home page search "motor brushes". It will take you right to them

Typically Google is my friend, but not this time. It is actually a Pro-Tech Contractor Series? I got the Contractor part right! I called McMaster with a brush number of 93S2 and they didn't have a reference to match up. I'll just take measurements and it should get close.
Thanks Bill and Paul.

Motor brushes are usually pretty standard. Get the right dimensions- use a caliper if you can, and you will be fine.

click on the link above for brushes from mcmaster carr. Take one out and measure it. You will most likely have a small amount of where on the length to account for but maybe you can match one up with them. I use mcmaster at work all the time.
good luck

What part of Arkansas? There is a tool hospital in
Springdale that has most of them in stock.
Any electric motor service company should be able to help,
try the yellow pages.
I think Lowes has some in the electric department.
I'm in north central Arkansas - Clinton - so Springdale is a few hours away. Is the name of the place in Springdale the Tool Hospital?
Thanks for the other idea's.

Apart from the fact that cheepy chinees kit sometimes comes with spare brushes, I used to buy whatever was available (Portugal) and file it to fit. Diesel generators mostly. The only one to avoid is ' Dynamotor' Starter/generators that require special brushes.

The name is "The Tool Hospital of Arkansas".
I checked with them, they do not have access to
Pro Tech parts any more, their supplier went away
about two years ago. They have a listing for the part
number you gave, 93S2, but have none in stock and
no way to order. They said they have had no luck
trying to match up Pro Tech parts. The only parts
they have in stock are some switches and a couple
knobs.
Sorry I don't have any good news.
Thanks so much for doing this for me. Above and beyond my query! If you are ever in the central part of the state and would like to see my project - I have a beer for you.
