Spring has sprung

It hit 76 today and it looks like 76 tomorrow and 80 on Tuesday. Bout dang time.

I got back fairly early from the armory today after finishing up writing our SOP and decided that it would be a good time to catch up on some of that work around here. I cleaned up the back yard and cut the grass. Glued a strip on the canoe and built by porch at my shop door. Even took the door knob apart to see what was wrong with it (need a new one).

And all this while these stupid sinuses are killing me a this chest congestion is killing me.

But hey it is spring and it can only get better.

I think not. Six inches of snow last night and temps going to minus 8 tomorrow night.

As my grandad says; Spring has spring, the flowers ris, I wonder where the birdies is?

A smattering of snow last night though for me. I'm fine with it, I have a marine firefighting course today and the colder the weather, the less hot and sweaty it is in full turnout gear.

A balmy -8 here this morning, but the rain we had over the weekend brought down the snowbanks some.

Could be another ugly flood season 'round here when the melt starts to happen in earnest.

You folks ought to wise up and move south.

It was 80 here yesterday. Raked the last of the leaves in the back yard, worked up my first sweat of the season. Azaleas are coming into bloom. Beautiful day. The live oak leaves are starting to fall, when they're done in about 3 weeks, the grass will be just starting to grow. Time for serious spring cleaning in the yard. I love this time of year.

Just got back in the office and I had to run my air conditioner in the car. Yup, spring is here. Let's just hope it hangs around till summer gets here.

Therein lies the answer to why some of us don't move South.

When it's cold .. you can put on a sweater, stoke the fire, work up a sweat choppnig wood ...

When it's hot ... aside from turning on the air-conditioner, you're hooped. Dial it up over 85 Farenheit, and my brain liquifies.

As a dedicated worshiper of the sun and all things summer I would rather it be 100 degrees than 40.

I'm a bit overdressed. I've been a bit under the weather and may still be running a low grade so I wore a T-shirt underneath my short sleeve shirt. So I'm running a bit hotter than normal.
