In an earlier post, several of you had asked for a photo of my Great Dane in the recently built 12' skiff. I could not take the picture with me in it so you guys will have to settle for just the dog and the wife. http://www.gngems.com/Catalina27/BoatDogCollage.jpg

Looks like he's got his sea legs! When does the tape conehead come off?

Stay away from that dog ... he is a VAMPIRE.

Can you put that guy standing on top of the World Trade center in the photo, too?

;)

Donn, So the cone is for the ears? All this time, I thought the dog was a Shriner !

This photo was when he was 5 months, and the ear tape has been removed now. One ear stands nicely, and the other needs Viagra.

Love it!
I've passed this on to my kayak buddy who has a Great Dane.
Fortunatly for our kayaking sanity, she also has a sheltie who will probably love riding in the wee boat.

I used to canoe with a Newfoundland dog instead of a bow paddler... much better conversation

Finbar has met his match...

Bill, how'd you keep the Newfie in the canoe? Finbar's predecessor much preferred the water to the canoe, making for some humo(u)rous episodes...

Our Newfie, all 75 kilos of him, tried to come aboard my K1 - once! The boat didn' t survive but Jacko did did lifesaving bit and I couldnt really go crook. He always did like jumping off piers. Great dogs.
