The Navy is giving it away. You have to take the sumbersible dry-dock with it, though....:D

I sent an email to Paul Watson/Sea Shephard. (He wanted to buy a submarine at one time.)

How does the dock stay dry if you submerse it?

I wonder how much it would cost to maintain it as a yacht. Though unpractical, it would make an interesting liveaboard.

You could add some nice waterslides to the sides.

Anyone know what the underbody looks like? With some mahogany trim, teak deck, and a brass rub rail, she'd be indistinguishable from a classic Yacht :)

I thought the Navy already had a stealth boat, aka. submarine.
I think it has two torpedo like hulls under the water.
look at the big wave it is generating at speed.
speaking of adding stuff howabout some 8" cannons a couple rifles and a smoke stack for confederate war reenactors to use. Interesting that a shape good for deflecting cannon balls is also good at deflecting radar.

Needs a nice boottop! Wonder where I can buy invisible paint for upkeep.

I wonder how much it would cost to maintain it as a yacht. Though unpractical...well from a practical standpoint... there's no brightwork to maintain.

That thing look's like it would have minimal roll stability.

Didn't they make one of those in the Civil War?
