It's been a long time since I've needed to use or recommend a marine surveyor. I can't find anybody I used to use. How about it Jay? Got a name you can trust? Boat will most likely be hauled in Alamitos Bay - Marina Shipyard.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

BTW: Yes, it's a woody! Mid '50's sail, if that makes a difference on your recommendation.

Thanks Jay,

Bueno!
John was the surveyor that I contracted for "Bright Star".
He is one of the last surveyors that I would trust to inspect a wooden boat.

Wooden boat people are getting harder and harder to find. Last time I took Kelpie for her USCG inspection we got a coastie who knew nothing of wooden boat construction and that was 20 years ago.

I've known this boat and owner for years and I'm going to give it a good look see on Wed. I'm pretty confident that I won't be able to find any major problems but I'm at least smart enough to take my own advice and not make a move without a survey.
