Anyone familiar with a Canadian boat builder known as Bruigom?
Attempting to find info on a 31' cutter built in 1982?
Thanks

You bet. I have a lovely George Gruigum built WmAtkin Eric. She is a 32' fir on oak, double-ended gaff ketch, sporting a handsome pilot house and tanbark sails. George built her around 1979-80 and she went in the water in 81. I am her second owner, having bought her in the spring of 1986.
That summer I sailed into Comox, British Columbia and had the pleasure of spending several days rafted up alongside George and his girlfriend, who were living aboard a cutter about 42' long that George had built. George had built quite a number of traditional plank on frame vessels in the Comox area over the previous two decades. He was not well at the time and died of cancer the next winter.
