I am posting some pictures of my D4 that I am finishing up. This is my second boat that I have built, might be my last boat because I have a shoestring budget. The dinghy turned out pretty nice. I didn't want to spend $60 for oars so I built some out of crutches. I had a small window of opportunity to try it and am happy with the results.
In the spring I plan to add some varnish. More pictures at D4 Dinghy Construction Pictures (http://www.pbase.com/osmaster/d4_dinghy)

Hello:

I have a photo link on our marine epoxy web site showing (in jest!) my D4 being propelled by a leaf blower.....

www.epoxyproducts.com/marine.html (http://www.epoxyproducts.com/marine.html)

looks like you used a lot of epoxy on the boat! I only epoxied the seams....

But why did u not put a sail on it and point the blower at the sheet? :D

Looks like a great job on your dinghy. I too am familiar with 'shoestring budgets' & I love your oar idea! The most important part is that you are on the water in something you built. smile.gif
