How big was that one Greg? Would make a nice meal for the 269kg Marlin that a chap here caught while spear-gun fishing last weekend.

Didn't have any scales on board but he was big enough that I was too stuffed and he too heavy for me to embarrass myself trying to lift him for a pic. We got some massive steaks out of him though and enough to go around the 14 of us that were in the group.

That is one damn fine finish on that boat. Looks smooth as fiberglass.

Yep Blighty, traditional fibreglass though......:D (which is why I posted in the bilge).

The big 'un is a Spanish Mackerel, good fight as well as good eating, great smoked. The GT's (Giant Trevally), although not great eating so were thrown back, were the best fighting fish for the day, other than a couple of sharks that generally bit themselves off. The Coral Trout were by far the best eating.

We'd move as soon as the sharks move in. And yep, great day......all the more reason to celebrate Australia!!:D
