Glad to hear it! One of our members, who will go unnamed unless he chooses otherwise, is applying.

Eastport is a cool place. I wonder how their new pier is working out. It's the closest place in America to Europe, and has rail transport, but is still a long way from our centers of commerce. Fisheries built it, as I understand, and they've been wrestling with what to do since.

I had great experiences when I visited five years ago. Fine, straightforward people. To have a boat school ongoing is a very good thing. Need to take a drive and see what's up there now.

Drive East of Ellsworth, and it really is a different world. People still talk funny. ;)
