ABYC H-25 Portable gas tank regulations

I am trying to find the regulations for a portable gas tank and the capacity that is acceptable. In the CFR it states a tank that is not able to be moved because of weight by the persons on board is NOT a Portable tank. But they also refer to ABYC H-25. I was going to installl a real large tank but now I am not. I just think I may also need a portable tank as well for cruising distances that are very extended at times.

Don't know if this helps, but West Marine lists portable fuel tanks up to 26 gallons.
