Not bad for a little ol' gal from Beaumont.

The thing that tears me up about that song (and many others she sang) is that she was completely fearless about baring her tortured soul on stage. No one ever had any doubt that that was the real Janis up there.

She would have been 65 years old last Monday.

I agree, Lefty, but I don't believe that we could have had Janis without the terrible depression and the Heroin.


This is not to say that the drugs produced the Art, but that the drug abuse stemmed from the same same source as the Art.
