Re: Your very own Security Checkpoints!
The comments are beautiful. I love the one that points out this is clearly a European security checkpoint, and goes on to list all the things that are missing if it's supposed to be American...
Bloody humans. What are you doing about it?

Re: Your very own Security Checkpoints!
Reading the reviews, it's nice to see that irony is alive and well in the US. Such 'toys' are good propaganda tools to influence the young, and I'd bet there might have been some shady funds available for the manufacturer to go this route.
Watch out for the TV campaign, though maybe not now that GW and his cohorts have gone.Comment

I liked this one.
This is just a sop to the authoritarians among us. I am holding out for the release of the Guantanemo Playset. Hopefully this will come with an extrordinary rendition option.Without freedom of speech, we wouldn't know who the idiots are.Comment

Some fun comments there!
Do have to wonder though, if some of those folks forgot that we had metal detectors in airports prior to TSA.“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”― Mark Twain,Comment

Yah, Brian, but that was before we got serious about things (well, to be fair, before we were 'forced' to become serious about things.)
Really, though, I just laughed my a$$ off when my boss showed me the link...
Now, a quick perusal of Playmobil's site does NOT show ANY of these gems as regular items, leading me to suspect that whole thing is a prank (the "child in a wheelchair" is especially macabre...) but if it is a prank, it was extremely well done.
The comments alone are worth the price of admission. (To the psychiatric ward, in some cases!) I'm still giggling!Comment
