WB Design Challenge Advert

there are two boats featured as examples in the advertisement.
one is tom hills power skiff in the foreground. does anyone know
the boat/designer/specs of the light green one in the background?
looks a bit pen-yan-ish but i think it is something else and can't
quite place it. i'm really liking it!

Thanks, John. She IS a beauty.

She was designed by Joel White and built by Jimmie Steele We couldn't find any plans, so -- with Steve White's permission -- our own Tom Hill has taken the lines off.

We'll be featuring her in a How-to-Build later this year, and plans will be available through the WoodenBoat Store. But I'm unsure just when that might be.

what will be your build method in the how to?
plank/frame or strip? or?

Thanks, John. I think she's about 15'6". Tom's article will be about building her with strip-planking.

i'll watch out for that one. i think it will be a very marketable boat(plans).
i always like the rob sport boat, but i think this one might make more
sense for me. it seems a bit beamier and deeper. tom's version will be lighter
than joels and i wonder how it will translate. can't wait to see that one. as i
studies the foto i also wondered about strip or vacuum bag molding one.
