G'Day!
I was looking in the back of the the most recent WB in the "Boats For Free" section and saw a boat thats is lying close to me in MD. The ad says it was "said to be one of the first boats built by Matthews Bros. on Long Island Sound"
Does anybody know anything about this company? Are there any websites that might have info? I did a Google search and came up with zilch.

You've asked a tough one, Rambler. I found a Matthews Boatyard in Washington state, and Mathews Brothers who build Hampton One's for Hampton Boat Works in MD, and, of course, the famous Matthews Boat Company from Ohio...but nothing at all for Matthews Bros. in the Long Island Sound area.
