All I see are the dreaded "red X's".
I Would like to see photos of Manasquan as I was a Coast Guard "brat", at the Life Boat Station there until about 1955. My father was the Chief Boatswain's mate of the station.
Good luck with your boat.

Here's what I get when I try to chase the photos separately-- The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer.

damn, exceded the data transfer again. Going to have to look into paying for a little more band width.
Sorry guys, should be able to see the pics in an hour or so.

Great pictures Dan! So how did everything go? Nice comfortable ride, did you have any problems? Do you like the way she handles? How did she swell up, is the bilge pump pretty much just resting now? Congratulations & good luck with her!

Ned,
Everything went fine. Ride was good despite the 25 knot west wind pushing the 3 footers onto the bow and over the windows. Very smooth, she really takes the sea well.
I had done quite a bit of pre-swelling by putting water in the bilge over the last few weeks. The only area I did not get was the very bow, and that was where she was leaking. We sat in the slings for just over an hour, and the bilge pump slowly quieted down to where it was only running for 10-20 seconds every 5-10 minutes. By the time we got to the new slip and tied in, the pump was only running briefly only every 30 minutes or so. She should be quieted down quite a bit by now, but I don't get to go down until tomorrow.

Great pics, (I see them here) and great story! As much as I got to read. I got shut out because of data transfer limits, too.
Congrats! It's gotta kill you to be somewhere else instead of down on the boat.

ken,
yeah it does, but have to work to fund my hobbies.
Thanks for the remarks,

Dan, Glad to hear everything went well. I guess I can still hold on to my high regard for Charlie's boats :D . Have a good day

Ned,
Neat thing happened while launching. I met the original owner of my boat. He was having an engine replaced on his current boat. Chris Ziggler was his name, and he had Hankins build the boat for him. We had a really nice conversation about the boat. He told me that the boat made him "alot of money". He told me what he paid to have it built (less than what she surveyed her current value at) and some other tips. He also offered that I stop by the dock anytime I see him and let him know how the boat was doing. He seemed really glad that someone was taking a little care of his old boat.

Must be my PC, but I can't see the pics here or at the link. :(

Don,
Not your PC, but my webhost. I am trying to pay for more band width, but the server is "either busy or not working" so I am stuck!!

Great before and after pics. Congrats, Dan! And neat story about the original owner. He's thinkin', "Nice to know my girl found a prince."
