Ok cowboys ,I need some input. I am fitting an anchor platform on my 36 ft. Atkin Ketch. I have it fitted with a club footed headsail. My issue(at the moment) is that after building my anchor platform at great effort and expense, I am fitting it on and after firring the top plank up to go over the toe rail I have 2 inches of clearance over the windlass between boom and windlass I think this is ok cause the controlling sheet(1) goes forward and aft by way of blocks to the starboard winch. It is a reefable staysail but even with that I thinkI I can keep enough tension on the jib halyard to keep my minimal clearance(2 in) am I asking for trouble? Given the winds in this area SF bay, That will work for summer (kick butt winds)but when I head south (soon I hope)I can take off the club for unencubered and larger sails
