I'm building a glen l 14 fractional sloop.
I want to better understand the (running) rigging. Things like the positioning of the tracks for the jib sheets.
Pros and cons of running the main sheet aft or running it to the CB case.
The good the bad and the dangerous.
Anyone recommend a good book(s) for this ?
Thanks
Dave

You could try Dinghy Systems, by Mark Chisnell and John Hodgart, published in the UK by Thomas Reed in 1993. Looks at all the possibilities for most systems, mainly on racing dinghies, but just as applicable to any modern sailing dinghy. Perhaps a little dated now. Dick

You might try some internet sites for sailing classes that are about the size of your boat - GP14, Wayfarer, snipe, bluejay, etc. Most of them have solutions to rigging problems.
Use this site: http://www.boat-links.com/linklists/boatlink-38.html#racing

Thanks,
I had searched generally, but that's a great idea, it should make it easier to find something useful.
