I've deviated from the original plans and have added covering boards. The epoxy on the mahagony still must be sanded and varnished. Almost makes me not to want to get fish blood on it.

This is a lovely boat. And why would you mess it up with fish slime, blood, guts and sea weed? Sometimes I put a line out with the hope they won't bite. And when I get a bite, rarely, I do have mixed feelings between excitement and having to clean up the mess. So no fishing from my new Pousbo. Just a line out. I am not sure I even will get a licence but probably will. What a conflict.

I have added two 1" drains overboard for the motor well.
The plans are from our sponsor at the Wooden Boat Store. San Juan Dory by David Roberts.

Nice boat! And nice truck, too.
Fish guts won't hurt anything. Just be ready to haul the boat if you see Roy Scheider close by.

Blood wouldn't dare stick to a lovely job like that, hell you won't even have to wet a line, the buggers will be jumping into the boat just for a better look!

Jeff, do you have any progress photos on the breasthook and aft deck construction?
Later,
