Good Morning to all,
Several months ago, I purchased an Ed Monk designed Motor Sailor. She is 35' LOA, weighs 9 tons, and draws 4 feet. She was built in 1940 in Seattle and has (obviously) passed through a lot of owners. Unfortunately, she was gutted to the point where she is a shell in the inside less the galley sink and the head. Needless to say, I am trying to restore her back the way that she was... The ghost lines I have found in her are a guide but I want to do it right
Problem is... is that I cannot find any boat plans for her. I have gone through the Ed Monk publications that are out there and the only reference that I found for her was in a VERY old Monk book which only showed how her keel was made. I have a feeling that I have either a rare design or a design that was not as desirable as most wanted in the days she was built.
I would really appreciate if someone can look at her picture that is attached and let me know if they have seen this design before. Even better if I can get a reference as to where I can find boat plans or a vessel that is her equal.
I have a created a myspace page for her so that one can see other pictures and video of her. ANY assistance would be fantastic. You can find this at www.myspace.com/cheechako_rebirth (http://www.woodenboat.com/forum/www.myspace.com/cheechako_rebirth)
Thanks so much for your help and take care!
