Just completed this handsome addition to our vessel. All the wood is local,the Cherry I had sawn from a tree in the yard. The Applewood knee came from an orchard in Waterford, Maine. The Locust I have had sitting in my wood collection for 10 yrs. Next step is finishing, nice varnish!! Please view at http://s419.photobucket.com/albums/pp278/vgeorge1

How does the gallows attach to the deck?

It fits between the aft ends of the cockpit combing, each leg slides into a slot and locked in with a wooden turnstile,so it is removable.
