I'm sure it's a nice boat but 250k? Seems a bit steep in the current marketplace.

What's that they say about 'asking prices'? Forty percent less and you've done pretty well?

Hi all-Yes, LFH #107 was a nice looking evolution from Meadowlark and GoldenBall. By way of some history as I know it:
Back in the 50's, John Hart, of Buzzards Bay, Mass, had Alan Vaitses build him a Meadowlark, Vaitses first one, I believe. (it had an oak bottom!). John Hart was one of several sailors around the N end of Buzzards Bay who were getting themselves MeadowLarks and figuring out how much fun they could have in those thin waters. There also was Bobby Gibbs' Loon, the first MeadowLark and then another Vaitses boat, John Wilson's Lark, Lee Hill in SandPiper, ShoalWaters from down New Bedford way and another Vaitses raised deck boat named Hawk from down in Dartmouth. (Golden Ball had come and gone by then) We had four of these named boats over several winters at Barlow's Boat yard and thereby was the "MeadowLark Capitol of the World " a few times!
Anyway-John Hart had asked LFH to work up something between the MdowLrk and GB and #107 was the result. She was not built by John Hart.
Many years later I found myself finishing up a Pacific cruise at Whangarie, NZ, and, naturally looking about as we tend to do, spotted a distinct bow in the distant marina. That bow said "LFH" to me so I tracked it down and she turned out to be the incarnation of design #107. Very well done. I have been pleased to see her pictured elsewhere in this Forum. Long may "Men of Vision" live and many thanks to them. Cheers/JC
