Building the Wild Onion

I received the plans for her last week and Ill be busy with the strongback this weekend.
Ill be stripping her in fir and glassing the outside of her hull. Ill be using all the framing as per plan, fir instead of the w.oak that is called for.

Good to see someone building one of those old things. Its really quite a lovely looking boat. I like the barn door rudder. You'll be able to gunkhole in a foot of water and run her right up on a sandy beach.:)
