Today I installed the new wood to replace the 7' piece of the keel I cut of my 1936 Nunes Brothers raised deck cruiser. The picture below shows the new piece in place. I still have a good deal of work to do on this project including shaping the new keel to match the stem, carving the plank rabbets and installing 6 new frame ends. However, compared to building and installing the new piece of the keel, those parts of the project seem pretty minor to me just now.
