leaky

I've been advised not to use oak for my outer stem because of checking and oak's reluctance to accept epoxy. My inner stem is made from CCA treated SYP. I have access to some mahogany that I can laminate, or I have more treated Yellow pine. Any opinions on what's best. It's going on a Redwing 26 and the stem is straight.

I would suggest if you are concerned about the oak that you go with the Mahogany, but I have had no problem with epoxy and oak yet, though there is a school of thought that its a no go area ;)
