No politicking within fifty yards of the polling place!

Just vote.

Lessee if we are any more accurate than CNN on election night.

Is this a world wide vote , or legal / eligible to vote US citizens ONLY?

Your results will be skewed if everyone and thier brother gets to vote. You didn't make the ground rules clear, then again maybe you didn't want any rules , you work for Acorn ? :D

Bob Cleek

Yea, everybody can vote! I figure what happens here will end up screwing the whole world if it goes sideways. If you are feeling the pinch from the US market crash, you're entitled to vote!

Voting ain't no fun. Cranking out yards of text that vex the Bushies is fun.
Come back when you've got a topic.

If they are responsible enough to get mailed solicitations for credit cards, they are responsible enough to vote.

I love how you call it the poll to end all polls as it really is. Its just not the end you seek.

With the terrible list to port this place has, I think the outcome is completely predictable!

It works like this,Bob. A lot of the old Righties who hooted and hollered here that George Bush was "THE" answer are no longer around. I would like to think they were overcome by shame but I know from experience that all those old-timey Neocons were and are totally shameless. They've just gone under cover to keep from being linked with the biggest loser to ever sit in the Oval Office.

Morning, Philip!

Usual Sunday - took small boy to rugby game in the morning (and exchanged notes with a money broker and a real estate developer whilst standing on the touchline - latest rumour is that the reason HSBC did not bid for HBOS was that the Treasury told them not to, on the grounds that they might be needed for RBS!

This afternoon, collected larger boy from Sea Scout wilderness camp where he had been having huge fun skinning and roasting a buck (he is now in the bath...;)) and will be off for a couple of hours quiet boat repair shortly!

Lordy Andrew...how can ANYONE be so organized?

Andrew Craig-Bennett

Not me, Phil - She Who Must Be Obeyed organises me! It's now ten years since she stopped me smoking...:)

Absolutely. Frankly, I think that any intelligent individual will find themselves recognizing the wisdom where it exists in both "liberal" and "conservative" viewpoints and end up a mixture of both. The two poles keep things in some semblence of balance over time. You can't navigate without fixed reference points. Forget the labels. People that vote "party line" often put little more thought into it than they do deciding which football team to root for. We all made a mistake drinking Bush's Kool-Aid. We need to take responsibility for it as a nation. Otherwise, we're no better than the Germans who, after losing the war, all claimed they "knew nothing."

"People that vote "party line" often put little more thought into it than they do deciding which football team to root for."

hence my term of football politics...there are many fans on this forum who fit well within those guidelines...the pity of it all is they haven't a clue
