Went on a boatyard crawl a few days ago and took these pics of nice wooden boats:

Amid a sea of FRP shines a lovely bright-finished Bluenose Class sloop built & maintained by Stevens Boatshop in Chester, NS:

An interior shot of the Bluenose Class sloop cockpit:

A tired old veteran of the dinghy wars, found on the beach a few feet from the Bluenose Class sloop:

And an interior shot of the dinghy. Interesting construction details...

Over at Goldwater Marina I found this workboat conversion with a couple of novel features:

The neatest feature being this forward cockpit. The board standing on edge is a thwart that fits across in front of the doors to make a seat. What a great spot for kids!

I wonder what that is in the left background of the first pic. Long and sleek whatever it is.

Tim, that would be Seneca, a 1908 Chester 'P' class sloop. HR posted some pictures of her underweigh in his "September Classic" posting.

Nice. Always loved those universal rule boats.

There was an M for sale in Yachting magazine when I was a kid. Awesome boat. Probably the only M left.

I love those Bluenose class boats.
Lots of fun to sail, although it can be a bit wet.
