Does anyone know the whereabouts or fate of Nat Herreshoff's Gloriana?
Thanks.

I believe she was cut up for scrap at a tragically yound age. That's just off the top o' my very short memory, though, I'll look it up and correct if I'm mistaken.
After consulting Herreshoff of Bristol I found her original owner "...sold Glorianna before her second season. In other hands, her useful life spanned some 18 years."
I don't recall where I heard she was cut up, but I did find some info indicating that she wasn't particularly good looking, could have something to do with it.

Thanks for that. 1 year for her first owner, 18 years for her second. It sounds like she was broken up in Boston (home of her second owner) in 1910? That's something to go on.
Thanks.

I don't know anything about what happened to her but here is an image I scanned from a picture that my wife has. Picture taken in 4/09?
I think she looks pretty good.
Like the man on the spreader and the little spinnaker pole.
