Today we find in the letterbox (yes, the letterbox not the inbox) a letter addressed to my partner (with her surname spelt incorrectly and only one initial) a letter promising US$800,000 if she will just fax her bank account details and a copy of her passport.

The question is, how best to proceed?

What do we have, Nigerians with a bad internet connection ? :D or perhaps it comes from Wall St .

If it has a Self Addressed Envelop with it ,tape it to a brick and post it .

This scam claims to be from Madrid Spain.
No return address on the envelope and the stamp isn't cancelled either.
I've done a search for this one and it's everywhere, at .78 Euro per stamp, this wasn't cheap.
Assuming the stamps are real and not stolen....
Criminals, you just can't trust em.

Ah, the person in charge of pointing things out has just pointed out that the letter was cancelled but upsidedown on the back......and it was allegedly processed in Malaga, which is quite a way from Madrid.
