I too would like to see Iceland. My mother is canadian born of Icelandic settlers. I barely remember grandparents who spoke Icelandic and still have a few snatches of songs that run thru my head, quite an unusual language. Could a visitor get by with English only? Those are great photos,,, more please.

Almost everyone in Iceland speaks VERY FINE English. People from all over Europe visit there, and English seems to be the universal language. I only met two people (older) who had trouble with English. I asked a young girl why everyone speaks English, and she asked me how many people did I think outside of Iceland speak Icelandic. A great place to visit. Am thinking of going back this February.
