I set 2 chain hoists to a big I beam running along one side of the space . The presence of this 16 in. beam is one reason I chose this space .

My friend Fritz , lender of the hoists , stays out of the way in the corner as we lift .

Fritz takes it all in .The boat rests on the side of her supporting frame .A tag line runs from the top of the frame , through a window to a tree .Standing on the bench , I pushed up on this and pulled the boat through her balance point so we could lower away .

Befor beginning I'd lashed some padding to the chine the boat will roll over .

The floorboards will be flush with the top of the keel, and the cedar crossplank will be finished bright above that level .

Everything went as planned with the flip , which was a load off my mind .

Gotta like that, Bill. A bit of a milestone when the hull goes over, eh? smile.gif

Had a relative once that was uh, heavy. Those pics are pretty close to what it must have been like to roll over in bed. :D Now that I think about it a hoist would have been a great gift!
