Good Morning,
I just purchased a Winabout, Hull # 137. I'm looking for anyone with knowledge, experience or any information on the Winabout.
What i know is she was built in Boston between 1930 and 1941, is cedar over oak ribs. She is in great shape, in need of new caulk and paint. I would appreciate any advice and photos of Winabouts.
Thank you,
Rey

My dad had a Winabout 18 footer in the late 30's, and I have several good copies of The New England Boat Company's brochure "Greatest Values in Sailboat History." Given the fact that I have several, I can contribute one for your info. Incidentally, the 18 ft model had a price of $499 ! The characteristics of the 18 and all the others are in the brochure.

A popular camp boat up through the fifties,
I learned to sail in one.
Three or four kids out for an afternoon adventure - great boats!
An underated design .
