I thought I'd gamble on the traditional good weather of September, and saddle up the Sportster for a loop up NY State, across New Hampshire and Vermont, thence to Maine, down the coast to the Cape, then down to Fishers Island, and home.
Work is slow, and this tough year has almost run it's course, so gawd DAM, it's time for a roadtrip to cure what ails me ;) I figure I have about 10 days or less, which should be plenty to stay on the back roads and stop every time I see a photograph...
My northernmost stop is Northport in Maine, but I hope to sail with Coose, and Bauer, and meet up with as many of you as weather and wind permit...Not to mention the day job;) I'll be in Northport from Tuesday to Thursday 9/23-25...
I'd love to see my imaginary friends, get a little sailing in, and ask for all the free advice I can get. I'm calling it the 'Guru Tour', visiting all my smart friends, and some just plain clever ones as well :D
I'll have a tent and sleeping bag, a change of clothes, and a hell of a good attitude :cool:
