Oh yeah, Kent State 1970,I remember.
Those who forget the past are destined to relive it.
Don't stand behind the guy giving The Guard the finger.

Holy Christ! Was it Blackwater troops (bad joke)? Very true about those who forget/don't know the past.

Watch this and read between the lines. She mentions it was activated then deactivated but no deactivation appears in the federal register.
There is a reason all this is happening and when people wake up it will most likely be to late. All the Bread and Circus is for your benefit.

It's already too late, Mark. I thought you of all people knew that...

In other news: We need to show papers and prove our US citizenship out here on the Olympic Penninsula now (http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/article/20080824/NEWS/808240302/-1/NEWS). What the article doesnt say for some reason is it was the longest wait ever to get over the bridge. And that every single car was screened by drug dogs. And those that the dog pointed to were stopped, searched and arrested. Even those with legal Washington State Marijuana licences. This, I know, to be a fact. You now have to prove your innocence first. Then live your life.

They supposedly dont have any "illegals" out of it either. Hell, they could have gone to any Stupid Depot in Seattle alone and got a hundred. Yes, this is really happening.

"Your papers please! The dogs are here for your protection!"

Is this happening in other parts of the country?

They supposedly dont have any "illegals" out of it either.

From the story you linked:

At Friday's checkpoint near the bridge, seven illegal immigrants and one person with a felony warrant were taken into custody, and $2,500 worth of illegally harvested salal was confiscated,

they confiscated their salad ?

From the story you linked:

I've heard that most, if not all, have been released.

The salal came from private property bordering the National Forest. You can harvest your own salal still...

And so Donn, are you saying it's OK to stop all US citizens anywhere inside these United States and make them prove they are US citizens? Prove they are innocent of any all crimes before ever being arrested for these unknowns? You cant see this as a major f'ing problem to these freedoms we used to hold so dear? Please tell me you dont support a total police state. For this is nothing less than that. Show me how using a federal cop(border patrol) deep inside The United States of America to harass/arrest US citizens is not way outside the scope of our rights.

Donn didn't say anything. He corrected an error.

And so Dan, where did you see me say these things? All I did is read the story you linked. It sounds to me like they are using random temporary checkpoints. It also sounds like the latest one (first in 6 months, 3rd in over a year?) lasted all of 5 hours. Doesn't sound much like a "total police state" to me.

The sad thing is that the INS can catch thousands of illegal workers in eastern Washington State for every on caught on the Olympic Peninsula.

I live here. The error is in the paper. Maybe they have corrected it this week.

How about you High C? Why do you support a Police State?

Unfortunatly I wont be able to keep up on this until late this evening. Good luck with all that...

OK. How about when they choose to do every road every day all the time? This is just as illegal as that.

Damn. I hate to run on this one. But, here I go. See you all late tonight...

Do they question the dress when you go through Donn?
