Aim at perfection in everything, though in most things it is unattainable. However, they who aim at it, and persevere, will come much nearer to it than those whose laziness and despondency make them give it up as unattainable.

It is impossible to live a pleasant life without living wisely and honorably and justly, and it is impossible to live wisely and honorably and justly without living pleasantly. Whenever any one of these is lacking, when, for instance, the man is not able to live wisely, though he lives honorably and justly, it is impossible for him to live a pleasant life.

And the scary thing Kev...... I said that to a drunk guy at closing time when I got called collect by my G/F to rescue her from a local gin mill that her cousin had stranded her at. I was wearing jeans and a leather jacket.... I was sober.... The other guys were 3 sheets to the wind. They backed down.... If they'd known I had my flannel horsey jammies on under the jeans and jacket, it might have turned out differently! :D

Drunk tough guys just love the option of finishing their beer before they do anything Lefty.
It's just common sense.

I appreciate people who are civil, whether they mean it or not. I think: Be civil. Do not cherish your opinion over my feelings. There's a vanity to candor that isn't really worth it. Be kind.
