Hi all. Anyone know a reliable source for British Seagull outboard motor parts? I'm specifically looking for the thumb screw assembly on the motor mount bracket of the Forty Featherweight Minus, 1973. There are two thumbscrews on the mount bracket that hold the motor to the boat transom. They are soft brass and Seagulls often have at least one broken off due to over torquing. They are also identical on most, if not all, early Seagulls, so model number and year really arn't important. Yup, I'm watching ebay. Thanks

Easy:

John Williams, retired ex Thames Water Police, very good bloke, is bound to have the part, happy to ship to you (takes Pay Pal) and a fund of good advice.

(Oh, and he sails a wooden boat!)

Or you could always try these people:

I contacted them by telephone for parts for an unknown motor ( transpired it was over 30 years old).... Told me which model, month and year it was made ( I think if I had pressed them we could have found a name for the final inspection before leaving the factory), paid by card over the phone and got the parts 3 days later - shipped to a different country. I have to say this is still the best service I have recieved, ever: and is a model I strive for in my business!
