The Times Colonist (http://www.canada.com/victoriatimescolonist/news/story.html?id=2644352c-16c3-4b49-8a1c-a05eaf54ee00) reports that owner Ken Schley plans to host three-hour tours of the boat featured on the show's opening credits.
The SS Minnow interior is mahogany, and features two bunks, a head, a separate shower and main bed in the forward cabin. It has pull-out fridges, Corian countertops, and microwave. Plants and seaside touches, including decorative starfish and netting, round out a wheelhouse finished with a rug and couches.
The boat, which has been in Vancouver waters a dozen years, is docked just across the border in Nanoose Bay, BC (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&rlz=1T4DMUS_enUS236US237&q=Nanoose+Bay+map&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title). Schley bought the boat in 2006 and spent two years and nearly $150,000 to restore it.
