Very nice. Did you get that dolphin pic?

Really nice pics, Michael.
Please reassure us there was no Maypole or Morris dancing with those perfectly good oars...
Good on you, man, how cool to be doing that when you're 18 and the world's your oyster....

I took all the pictures except the ones I'm in.
And thats a porpoise actually. As my marine biologically inclined friend constantly reminded people.

Way cool pictures! A bit too 'free love' for my taste now, but I bet it was a lot of fun. :)
Thanks for sharing!

A porpoise is just a determined dolphin.
:)
Thanks for the great shots.

Mr. Beckman,
I have a young buddy/God-daughter from PT. She's friends with some of that group, and tells me what a great show they put on, and what marvelous fun they have. Going by water is an inspired notion!

It was definitely a blast. Hacki Ginda is quite possibly the most entertaining man I've ever seen.
There weren't many people younger than 25 outside of our group (puget sound explorers).
David, the PT show was really spectacular. The McCurdy Pavilion in Fort Warden was an ideal stage. Was your God-daughter in the audience or backstage with the Chautauquans?

Mr. Beckman,
I think she missed the show. She's currently over at WSU - wrangling cows. She did make it to the Westside, but only because some good friends were getting married. She's seen them in action a bunch though, apparently... or some subset of the larger group. Apparently, the bunch she knows is touring now more than staying local. Maybe some day they'll be around when I'm up there visiting her & her folks.

The performers are from all over the place. There was at least one group from Portland, acrobats Kazum. Chautauqua travels all over, I wouldn't be surprised if they hit Oregon sometime in the next few years.
