Hope Alaska, home of the Humpies. These are the smallest fish we caught, The next day I was on sheep creek catching 35 lb chums but didn't get pics and didn't keep any. As much fun as you can have wearing rubber pants. (waders) purple egg sucking leech for those interested.

Are you back home or still in Alaska?
Hope is only a couple of hundred miles from us... Are you going to make it to Homer?:):D

didn't make it to Homer this trip although we were halfway there on the coast out of Resurrection bay. Next year maybe. I usually fish the Queen Charlots islands in Canada but the exchange rate may influence next years fishing trip. Back in Colorado now getting the fish out of one gallon ziplock bags and into vacuum seal bags this weekend.

Hope on the turnagain arm, yes thats one of the places I was, fishing Resurrection Creek.
We also went out of resurrection bay and motored west for 3 hours placing us halfway to Homer. sorry for any confusion about my geographic descriptions.
I forgot so many forumites were in Alaska. Great place in the summer.

Ok, my mistake. I read it wrong I guess. The Hope on Turnigan is the only one I know of actually.
Doing well thanks but could use some sunshine here.
Gary...:)

These pictures are from my nephew who is teaching in Elim. He is spending the summer getting to know the area.

nice looking kayak, he build that?
how did he get all of those fish in that tiny boat?:D

He built the kayak in the school shop, it is a CLC kit. Even in kit form it wasn’t easy to get up there. It was his first build, but what else do you do in Elim in the winter. I think someone in a boat help him with the transport of the fish. Only one was a king, the rest were humpys.
