That ad doesn't exactly have me brimming with enthusiasm, and $3500 is a pretty high price for a 110, isn't it?

Oh well. I think that they are among the coolest boats out there, and I am still not sure why there aren't more of them? I hope this boat finds a nice home.

I met an avid 110 sailor at a conference and he was wondering about holding a regatta here in Boothbay. They needed a crane or launch ramp, either one with a lot of parking. Hard to find....

Here's a 110 blog: http://www.sailblogs.com/member/110Fleet57/

Mickey, you know better than most of us how easy it is to spend that kind of money in fitting out such a boat.

Oh, I am sure they've got a lot more than that in it, it's just that with racing boats there's such a drop off in 'value' after awhile and used boats usually don't cost that much. For them to get $3500 the boat must be: 1. in good shape, 2. in a place where the boat has value. Seems that in this case it's both. There was a guy in Seattle not too long ago having trouble finding someone to give a 'project' 110 to for free. If I had one down here where I live it would be difficult to find a buyer.

I am getting a little too old for a 110, but I would like a ride in a 210 one day. I thought seriously about buying one once. A lot faster than a Dragon or most any other three man one design. Sometimes I wonder......

I had access to 210 for a number of years, still do really. I rarely sailed it.
