Well, I am floored.

I don't even want to get into the stuff at SA right now. There are folks over there who live this stuff. I'm not one of them.

What I WISH would happen is that the NYYC would just take the thing back and then work with whomever the defender is to put on a regatta on a regular rotation of say, four years (to not conflict with the Olympics, and then the VOR would have some idea of when this silly thing takes place).

Can't. That's why we're in this mess. Well, WE are not. But the idjits who have been squabbling over the AC.

I have completely lost interest in the AC. I just don't freaking care. They don't understand how to keep people's interest. 1987 racing freaking 12M's which are NOT fast compared to the current boats, people were going NUTS watching/following things.

The bad thing about it is that the Rule 5 boats produced the closest racing ever, and that's why Bertie wants them done away with.

As you say, it's hard to care about it any more, and silly to do so anyway when there's so many more important things to occupy our time.
