 Grrrr. Got a nice 10-inch rip in the middle of my genoa yesterday. Stupidity on my part as I messed with it at the dock on a windy day ...

The sail is otherwise in excellent condition and will be the first one I've had to patch. I'm assuming the patch will be pretty noticeable - is it dumb to try to disguise it by making it look like it was intended, e.g. using a patch with a number or some other identifier?

My mainsail has a lion near the head (boat is a Cheoy Lee Lion) - just pondering what, if anything, might be compatible. Must look traditional. Seems like I saw a "CL" (Cheoy Lee) on a sail once ...

Or maybe I should just suck it up and learn to love the patch.

Patches look traditional. Just fix it.
