Friend Dan is already posting fotos from our Ol' Coots messabout yesterday at Henry Hagg Lake, near Forest Grove, Oregon. The orange thing is a "Puddle Duck Racer". The little yellow sharpie is a Bolger"Surf". The dark green hull w/tanbark sail & tan sheerstripe is a Jordan "Footloose Skiff". Dan & Jewel's powerboat is a Bolger "Diablo". The baby blue hull w/purple sheerstripe & white lugsail is my Storer "Goat Island Skiff".

Very nice!

Thanks, it was fun :D... perfect sailing weather, nice lake (except for a bit of swirly/gusty at the very North end). It was so much fun, I'm still vibrating. And my knee joints are still creaking - 9 hours on the water in a fast, tender (the Goat Island Skiff is a bit tender when out solo with no gear or other ballast) 16' open boat wears me out! A great day to play hooky.

John K. and Terry need to flaunt their honkin' big telephotos in front of Dan -- nice pics but all the boats are too teensy.

Any planned Coots events up near Bend or thereabouts?

Thorne, you handsome devil you :p --

I agree, not Dan's finest work. But there were also several fine shots... and all much appreciated. Here's a few from Andyrew:

Of course, you can't blame Dan totally for the long-distance shots. I was so fast that day that his little electric Diablo couldn't usually catch up. And when I did deign to return within range, he knows my sailing abilities well enough to try to stay well away
