I posted about a month and a half ago with the status of my Shellback. It's moving along pretty well. My wife says it definitely looks like a boat now!!
I've finally scraped and sanded the inside. The breast hooks, quarter knees and guard rails are all attached. I cut the sculling notch in the transom. The daggerboard, tiller and rudder are done and have been primed. I have rough cut the thwart blocks and will be mounting the thwarts and mast partner this week. I still have to build and install the daggerboard case. The inwales have been dry-fitted on the port side, need to do
that on the starboard side, then they can be attached.
After all of the interior work is done, I have to put on the keel, scrape, sand and fair the outer hull. Then I can paint. Oh, and make a mast, boom and spar and releather the oars.
It's coming along. I wish I had pictures, but I
don't have the technology. Maybe by launch time at the end of the month.
