I have a 1956 Chris Craft Cavalier 15 footer. I know it is #390 of 1096 made. Is there a way of finding out how many are still registered??

You might try the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club http://www.chris-craft.org/index.php

The ACBS (Antique and Classic Boat Society) publishes an annual directory of membership which is a fantastic resource if you are looking for owners of a specific model/year of boat. This alone is worth the membership fee!

In the world of production wooden boats, a thousand is a big number. I had a '57 15 foot Cavalier with a K block that was fun in flat water. Hard ride, but got up on plane fast.

this is actually the boat I learned to waterski behind when I was 14 yrs old. It has been sitting in the barn for a long time. Last time it was registered was 1972. My Dad mothballed the boat before it got stashed, and some opinions are that it may start---with a lot of preparation. I'm thinking that sludge in the fuel tank will be the biggest obstacle. This project will take some time as I want to keep it as original as possible.
I just transferred the title to the trailer last month. It came back as a 2-door. Never heard of a 2 door boat trailer.
