Lost my driver's license... but some nice person turned it in to the Seaport's Security office. Finestkind. FWIW to the WBS organizers, the Security folks really appreciated the red neck(laces?) for the name tags. They said they could see them at a glance even on the video security cameras.
WB gave me a daily calendar. Nice folks.

Steven will have to post the pic of popsickle car, to get the full effect of my excess....I am a roof rack abuser.
This is a 10 foot x 16" x 2" chunk of Lefty's walnut, to which I added a 20 foot piece of 2" x 10 inch white oak, and a 9 foot x 3" chunk of Iroko.
I got it cut at the woodmizer demo (it's now resawed into 2 -1" pieces. Finest kind! I'm in love! :p (with a machine)
Oh, and a box of mystery tools.......

In my wanderings I somehow missed the Mystic plans booth - forgot all about it until I got home and looked at The Boatshow map/booklet. I really need to get that program before the show so I can hit everything (I want to see) next year. I enjoy looking at all of the boats but I have a tendancy to 'blast through' the tents.
Anyone know, if you buy tickets in advance do they send you the WB program also ?
Oh - nice piece of Walnut. I think I saw that traveling out when I was coming into the show. Friday?

Got my rigging knife sharpened by the owner of Japanese tools.com
Not only sharp but a finish on the edge like quicksilver,

- My sister bought me a pair of Vince's earrings - very pretty - but I'm a Philistine ....
- Photocopies of Lloyd's Register pages from various years showing owners of the Rose of Sharon AND - an article on her win in the Mayor's Cup Race in 1970 (YES! what a find!)
- Ordered proofs of some pics of her from the Rosenfeld collection
- A touristy paperweight for Kyle with a tall ship inside
- 2008 WB calendar as a gift ...
- WB earrings
- WB visor for Kyle
- WB subscription
- WB compass for Kyle which didn't last four hours! (Not WB's fault btw)
- free food
- loaner wheelchair
- heat stroke and sun poisoning.
Yes, yes - lots of WB stuff - but I'm a newbie, so I hope you can overlook it!

- A cool bucket of hot sauces, hats, and coozies from Mickey Lake's bride :)
- A surprise for Claudia (since she broke her foot on my boat, I figured it was the least I could do...)
- 100' 5/16" lifeline wire from Jamie /Arlie
- Several amazing hugs from Lew Barrett
- 4 sail ties
- 200' of small Dacron line for whipping something to be determined - maybe lifeline seizings... ;)
- The opportunity to meet several new (to me) Forumites
- The opportunity to speak to Ken Hutchins :)
- The reminder that life, friendships, boats, sunlight, and water are a precious gift that should be treasured, savoured, as well as broadcast to the world!
Thank you Wooden Boat Magazine for giving us this amazing Forum and the opportunity for us to meet in person!

I heard Lefty got a whole bunch of napkins that were leftover from his stupid sister's stupid wedding. They'll work GREAT for next year's EBS!:D:p
