Getting ready for this Sunday's race.

The water was choppy and the crew had their hands full and there were only two boats on the bay.

In between tacks Dad was able to get a few pictures. Unfortunately they are not clear but the scenery is beautiful so I'm posting some here anyway.

Going out again on Saturday and Sunday is the race.

Here area two of pixs from a couple of days ago, it's not a wooden boat but Dad had a nice time anyway.

Hopefully we will have our own wooden sailboat to enter next years race...

Thanks Cass
Only been there once but it is a beautiful place. Also rember a neat little bar on the spit stopped for a beer and a local fiserman drought in a bag of scallops tk\he barmaid drenched them in lime juice and passed them arround.

Great shots, Cass. That sure looks like Morning Star, Ron Downing's BCC in those shots. Can you confirm that?

Same thing happed to the Pegasus, Soon as we hit the dock the problem was corrected along with tightening up the safety lines.Had an unexpected blow. Didn't even see it coming. Ron was taking some pretty good water over the rail for a moment or two. The mountains and glaciers kind of create thier own wicked weather.:D

52 today weathers looking good for the weekend

I can deal with that right now.. :D
It in the upper 80's here, with 90% humidity.. It like a jungle climate..

Just cannot have the best of both worlds at the same time.:)
