Any Forumites have an interest in or know someone who sails International Canoes? I have tried emailing the various IC committees and have gone onto their forums, with no luck. Figure a direct introduction would help!

You talking about the sailing canoe? Seems like about 1/2 " beam, sliding seat much more stable downside up than rightside down.

Yeah, I have one. An old 'glass Nethercott hull, USA216. I am very proud of it but I am not sure when or if I will ever get out in her again. It'll depend on when I will have my own personal chase boat available and standing by.
I am surprised that no one contacted you because they are all pretty nice guys. A little nuts, but nice. Go to Sailing Anarchy and troll around. The Aussies will talk to you, and Steve posts there all the time. Actually I'd say that over half of the North America fleet posts there. ICYouthmovement, foredeckhell, oh heck. A bunch of 'em. Ben Fuller posts here and Ben has an IC. I am actually up at the WBS and hoped to run into Ben up here.
You can ask me anything you want to know but I am 99% sure I won't know the answer. Either way I consider you to be a brave and daring individual, and perhaps one day we can shed blood together :).

There was once a canoe club on Manhasset Bay the LI Canoe Club. There club house was built on an old barge. One time I saw three or four canoes sailing there.
