I have a 28' hull, 7/8" wolmanized clear douglas fir plank on oak frames (9" on center)that was built in Astoria, OR in the 1950s and has never been finished. It has a relieved keel and I would call it a Maine Lobster style boat. There is no engine or house. The shaft log is bored and the shaft seal is in place. The strut is built but not installed. The hull is primed.I have the original blue prints that are complete. The drawings show a 40 hp engine. This boat would be a great project for the wooden boat enthusiast. I have owned it for about 3 yrs and done nothing with it. It has become apparent that I do not have the time and likely never will. So with regrets I am going to move it on to someone who can complete her and enjoy the boat. The plans were from the Washington KD Boat Company (Seattle WA) I am told the planking was cut at the old Wauna Sawmill and the wolmanizing done there as well. The hull is in a barn on Puget Island. The storage is $40.00 per month and I am sure it could be there as long as you need. If you are a wood boat enthusiast and looking for a project to complete or have completed, this may be for you. I have some pictures that I can email to interested parties. $7500 Please respond to email.
